To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment only. Because we are mobile, most appointments are scheduled in advance, however we do try to allow time each day for established patients to be seen on short term notice if need be. By nature of being mobile, our clinic incurs some unique scheduling challenges. We cannot always predict traffic and road conditions. In addition, we try to be sure each patient has been thoroughly examined and treated and all questions answered before moving to our next appointment. Which is why we schedule our appointments in 1 hour time-blocks. Occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each of you on time!
Pets are generally less anxious, although still curious, when coming into our mobile unit for their appointment. Since animals rely upon their sense of smell, they probably still realize they are seeing the veterinarian. Anxious pets do better because there is less anxiety travelling to our clinic, our clinic is not moving, and the "waiting" room is empty. It is extremely important to us that you bring your pet safely into our mobile clinic. We ask that all dogs be on a leash and cats in a carrier. Cats have a sneaky way of hiding for their appointments! This is why it is very important you have them in a small bathroom before our scheduled arrival time. We will transport them from there to the vetmobile for their check up. Chasing cats around your home at the time of your appointment if not done ahead of time will result in scared and anxious cats.
We do ask for 48 hours notice of rescheduling or cancellation of appointments.
